Greenpoint’s Jucy Lucy (138 Nassau St.) has debuted a new menu of Mexican food and margaritas from a new management team.
Jucy Lucy originally opened in May 2021 with a menu of beer, burgers, and bar food. Management of the bar changed hands earlier this month when Paula Jozwik and her husband took over. The pair own two Mexican restaurants in Queens and brought their Mexican food and margaritas to Jucy Lucy.

Jucy Lucy’s new food menu offers appetizers like guacamole and chips, avocado fries, Mexican-style mozzarella sticks, taquitos, and nachos.
Main dishes includes things like, fajitas, chile poblano, steak served with enchiladas, Mexican-inspired burgers, and two salad options. There’s also tortas, tacos, quesadillas, burritos, and burrito bowls.
Jucy Lucy’s new cocktail menu offers several types of margaritas, mojitos, sangria, and micheladas. House creations include the El Jefe with jalapeño-infused tequila and orange liquor, the Pepino Diablo with cucumber tequila, and the Tequila Spritz with raspberries.

Jozwik told Greenpointers that the most popular item so far is the Chingon Burger. It’s a Mexican-style burger that Jozwik calls “delicious” and “completely different.”
She said that the Oaxaca sticks are also popular, likening them to mozzarella sticks but with Oaxaca cheese.
The most popular drinks have been Jucy Lucy’s new margaritas. “They are not the ordinary margaritas you get elsewhere,” Jozwik said. “Our cocktails are uniquely handcrafted.” She explained that the flavored margaritas are made with fresh fruit.

Jozwik told Greenpointers that Jucy Lucy is showing all World Cup matches, but it’s no longer just a bar where you can watch games and grab a beer. It’s now a different experience; guests can come with the whole family and enjoy a dinner inside or outside in the patio.
“We really want the neighborhood to know that this place is no longer the Jucy Lucy that it was,” Jozwik told Greenpointers. “The name is the same, but everything else is different.”
Jucy Lucy is now open daily.
