Greenpoint Beer & Ale (7 N 15th St) has a bigger than big Oktoberfest planned this year so make plans now to join them Sept. 23rd through Oct. 1st! They’ll be tapping two super rare gravity kegs from Franconia and featuring four guest drafts from Munich: Mahrs Saphire Weisse, Monchshof Festbier & Ayinger Oktoberfest.
Mug holding contest at 5pm each Saturday! Come dressed in an Oktoberfest costume and receive a COMPLIMENTARY BEER.
Oktoberfest food specials include Sausages with Red Cabbage and Schnitzel.
And it wasn’t even because of their super-fresh Grade AA eggs, their reasonably priced bone-in chuck steaks (great on the grill), or the cases of Zywiec available in large, hefty glass bottles.
In case you’ve been accidentally locked inside a gas station bathroom for a few days, Gwyneth Paltrow shot some glamour shots at the Associated. In response, Greenpoint residents did mock sexy poses of their own in the aisles then posted them on social media.
Greenpoint Beer & Ale (7 North 15th Street) simply couldn’t contain themselves to one Oktoberfest weekend so they decided to celebrate the booziest of holidays all damn month. They’ll kick off this weekend Oct. 8th, with a brilliant lineup of house lagers and pilsners plus a very special guest list from our favorite German purveyors, Shelton Brothers (listed below:) All month they’ll have special beer releases and seasonal food offerings that will propel you mind, soul and liver immediately to November, OH BOY!
Check out their Oktoberfest Guest Beers:
Mahrs Ungespundet Lager, 5.2%, Kellerbier Their favorite lager on planet earth and very highly regarded. Fresh, perfumy hop aroma. Remarkably smooth, very fresh flavors and a spritzy dry finish with beautiful balance. This is a delicious, appetizing beer and a true taste of Germany. Continue reading →

Cancel your flights! Munich isn’t that great anyway. Ok, I haven’t been there, but I have been to Brouwerij Lane and it’s awesome. Our friends there are throwing an Oktoberfest that’s sure to be just as Spaß (“fun” in German) as the original.
The fest will run from 12-10pm on 9/28. That’s 10 hours of Spaß!!!!
There will be food, Oktoberfesty beers, and DJ’s spinning Oom-Pah. How do DJ’s spin this? Answer: No idea, but after enough pints, it can’t possibly matter.
