After shopping with our local crafters and enjoying some neighborhood nosh at next Sunday’s Flower Power Spring Market, head up to the stunning Greenpoint Loft’s rooftop for some relaxing — and free! — yoga.
Hosted by Hosh Yoga (657 Meeker Ave), a nonprofit organization that started out providing open-level yoga classes to the public in McCarren Park, the Greenpoint Loft rooftop will host three free, donation-based classes during our spring market on April 7.

Starting at 3pm, Hosh Yoga will be holding two donation-based 60 minute rooftop yoga sessions. BYOM (Bring your own mats!)
All Level Vinyasa Flow @ 3pm w/ Emi Iwasa (Hosh Yoga instructor): Open to all levels and all bodies, this class will focus on the Vinyasa practice of linking breath and movement while flowing from one pose to the next. We will focus on building both strength and flexibility, while guiding the body and mind toward a sense of grounding. Summer’s here! Summer’s here! It’s picnics in the park, (possible) ferry rides to the beach, and group yoga classes outside time! Unlike the massive outdoor free classes that happen in other parks around the city—I call b.s. when someone says they enjoy doing yoga with about 100 other people—the outdoor classes that happen in North Brooklyn tend to not get too crowded, and you might know an instructor or two. That’s why for our Fall Market on Sunday, October 25th, we’re excited to see the beautiful Greenpoint Loft come alive with a Foliage & Foragers themed day filled with FREE activities, refreshments, epic local shopping, live music, and most importantly the good people of Greenpoint!

Hosh Yogais a nonprofit that began to provide donation based open level classes to the public and is coming to the sun-drenched outdoor rooftop space at the Greenpoint Loft during our Summer Marketto host two classes.
Schedule and Details: 2PM with Zui 4PM with Diana
Each class is 75 minutes and is donation based. Open level – Experience with yoga is suggested but anyone is welcome!
We will have a limited number of mats so BYOM (Bring Your Own Mat) is ideal.

Summers in Greenpoint call for outdoor revelry and picnics so we’re bringing both to the upcoming Summer Market because did you know that Greenpoint Lofthas an amazing rooftop space with views of the Manhattan Skyline and the East River? Plus, illustrator Libby VanderPloeg is hand drawing a Garden Variety Watermelon Patch for a picnic themed photobooth manned by Gustavo Ponce! Your handsome mugs will come alive like living art as they did in the last market.

Rooftop Yoga: Is there a better way to get your urban zen on? Visitors have enjoyed Greenpoint Loft’s outdoor section for its views but we thought we should take advantage of the weather by inviting Hosh Yoga to host a donation-based yoga class there.
