There’s a trillion great places to eat and drink in the area, but rarely enough time (or stomach space) to give everywhere a try. That’s why this Sunday’s Taste Williamsburg Greenpoint event is a splendid idea. Now in its 5th year, the East River State Park flavor extravaganza will host stalls from dozens of local restaurants, bars and makers all offering appetizer-sized tastes of their delicious wares.
Among the 50+ vendors you’ll find The Elm, Reynard, Extra Fancy, Maison Premiere and Brooklyn Winery, along with Greenpoint gems such as Bakeri, Ovenly, Dirck The Norseman, No Name Bar, and our all-time favorite ice cream makers Phin and Phebes.
There will be live music curated by Rough Trade NYC featuring Ben Fields, Jack + Eliza and Son Little.
Advance tickets to TASTE cost $25 (4 food tastes and 2 drink tastes) or $45 (8 food tastes and 4 drink tastes) but if you use promo code NTHCCC15 at checkout you can get 15% off.
Tickets are available HERE, or can be purchased on the door for an additional $5.
The event will take place in the East River State Park (90 Kent Ave at North 8th Street) in Williamsburg this Sunday 7th September between 1-5pm.
All proceeds will go to benefit the The Northside Town Hall Community and Cultural Center which is raising funds to renovate the former Engine Co. 212 Firehouse on Wythe Ave. The space will provide a permanent home to neighborhood social justice organizations for direct services to Williamsburg and Greenpoint and will work closely with local arts programming and community gatherings.
