Spring into peace, love, and local business! Our sensational Flower Power Spring Market returns to the Greenpoint Loft (67 West Street, fifth floor) on Sunday, April 7 from 1 to 7 PM.
This far out event will spotlight local vendors, indie artists, and neighborhood artisans of all stripes. Thousands of neighbors and guests flock to buy and see the fruit of these artists’ labors.
The Greenpoint Loft will transfigure into a floral kingdom of hippy love and neighborhood harmony. 60+ highly curated vendors will be hawking their wares, and an exciting lineup of FREE dreamy activities awaits:
As always, our Flower Power Photobooth will be donned with an art installation made in collaboration with artist Colleen Blackard for professional photos shoots by Gustavo Ponce Photography. It’s going to be as gorgeous as the roses in our last market, so stop by, throw up the peace sign, and say, “Groovy!” Continue reading →
Dusty Rose, the goldmine of vintage finds as 251 Greenpoint Avenue, will be moving into a space at 67 West Street in mid-September. Lucky for us, they’ll have the old space through October, and are planning to rent it out as an empty warehouse for sample sales, screenings, comedy shows, music and parties. They are also soliciting event ideas from the community, hoping to send the space off “with a bang.”
Before their 67 West location becomes a vintage paradise, it will be empty the last two weeks of September, so Dusty rose is also soliciting an open call for event ideas in that space. As of now, they’re planning a “So Long Summer Sample Sale” September 15th and 16th.
Colony Studios (67 West Street #515) is hosting a popup market with music, art, fashion and food this Saturday June 30th. The market will happen from 12-5pm, and the live performance segment will take place afterward. Expect vendors like: naturally dyed textiles from Tintoreria, Japanese fashion imports from Ambassador, ceramics from Alana Lauren, artwork by Shantastic, macarons from Woops!, Luisiana Luke’s Cajun food, Polish food from Polka Dot and music and performance art by Terry Lorvette.
Greenpointers, along with Pancakes & Whiskey and Buzzchips, is putting on a show at Cameo Gallery Saturday 1/18. There are four great bands on the bill: Adios Ghost, Youngman Grand, Folding Legs, and Canon Logic. All week long we’ll feature each one to get you even more excited to come party with us this weekend. Adios Ghost kicks it off.
