Sakura Market is officially launching a very special dinner series. March 2nd, 9th and 16th, come enjoy eight uniquely prepared courses performed by me and my very special teammate Chef Aki Iwaki. Serving only 13 seats at a time, feast on a mix of Japanese, Californian and Mediterranean style innovation. Taste deep umami flavors derived from healthy principles. Take the journey through colorful raw and cooked seafood, each course adorned with subtle sauces, vegetables, and herbs. Sakura Market will also be selling memberships as a part of the ticket purchase. Dinner tickets must be purchased in advance and are $150 per person, not including cocktails, sake or spirits. We will be offering wine, sake and whiskey tastings for an additional charge. We are very excited to bring this very special collaboration to Brooklyn. For tickets and all other information please email [email protected]. Dinners will sell out quickly. Stay Gold. “Previously it was always through an email list that people had to sort of wriggle their way in obscure ways onto the list..and that grew into many many thousands of people and man many fun locations all over the world, and now it’s in Brooklyn,” said Stember, who along with co-owner and bartender James Halpern is working to bring a unique dining and beverage program to Greenpoint.

Stember, who is also a former Olympic runner, and Chef Aki Iwaki, who is the former head chef of New York Japanese restaurant, Bohemian, plan on building a membership program to Sakura Market where dinner participants can purchase ingredients used during the preparation of the meals to take home, such as smoked fish, housemade sauces and bone broth.
