A note from the North Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce’s Environmental Initiatives Committee:

“An average person potentially consumes as much as 1769 particles of plastic every week just from water” a new study by the WWF finds. They urge governments worldwide to “collaborate with industries and civil society groups to ensure a systems-based approach that addresses plastic production, consumption, waste management and recycling as a singular system, and refrain from individual, fragmented or symbolic policy actions.”

What can we do in the North Brooklyn community? Read their report here and email us your comments.

As always, the Environmental Initiatives Committee would like to hear from you. Contact us at eic@northbrooklynchamber.com with any questions, issues, or to receive updates on upcoming programs and events.

  1. Hmm it looks like your website ate my first comment (it was extremely long) so I
guess I’ll just sum it up what I submitted and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog.
I as well am an aspiring blog writer but I’m still
new to everything. Do you have any points for beginner blog
    writers? I’d genuinely appreciate it.
