SAM GALISON, Electronic
1205 Manhattan Avenuesuite 1-5-BA

Sam has a background is in the theater and circus, and works with a combination of digital and traditional craft practices to create compelling, immersive experiences in a wide variety of media. Conceptually, his work draws from the canons of mythology and aesthetic philosophy, as well as from theories of perception and consciousness. Physically, the work combines contemporary experiments in code, music, computational fabrication, and live video manipulation with more traditional modes of production – drawing, writing, and sculptural construction in wood, metal, and glass. In both his artistic and commercial design work, Sam strives to find meaning in the noise of everyday experience, and clarity in the chaos of an oversaturated media environment.

SONAL CHAKRASALI, Textiles/Fiberart/Weaving
67 West St

Experiments in tiny wearable hand embroidery – a little folk, a little punk. In addition to creating custom pieces, combating fast fashion is also important to me. Taking old clothes and adding embroidered embellishments to give them value and interest again is something that I’m trying to achieve in my practice.
