Williamsburg art gallery/studio/performance space The Hollows (151 Bedford Ave.) is restructuring its townhouse space so that each of the 5 floors of the building will be designated for a different discipline/medium. As a result, they’re clearing out their basement storage and turning it into a music studio.

The basement clean-out art sale is happening this Friday, November 25th (through November 28) at Lower East Side gallery Chinatown Soup (16B Orchard Street). Details after the jump, and read about their call for artists and musicians in residence!

The Hollows Basement Sale!
The Hollows Artspace is holding a four day-long sale of experimental works and works-in-progress from our Williamsburg gallery and studio storage. Held at Chinatown Soup, located on the Lower East Side at 16B Orchard Street, the sale will feature work by former and current The Hollows artists. Experiments, works-in-progress, damaged pieces, works left behind… Prices range from $100-$1000. Nov 25-28, 12-7pm.

The Hollows Call For Artists!
THE HOLLOWS, located at a 9,000 sqft. 5-floor townhouse with outdoors space one block away from Bedford Ave stop on L train is now accepting proposals for 2 and 4 month residencies for live/work/exhibit or work/exhibit residencies. There are various programming opportunities and specific studios for musicians/sound artists, fashion designers, performers, dancers, visual artists, writers, poets and filmmakers Each floor is designated to a single medium.
