It isn’t an urban legend, according to DNA Info:
A man was killed after being electrocuted Monday morning while walking on the tracks near the Broadway G train stop … Matthew Zeno, 30, and another man were walking north on the southbound side of the subway, near Union Avenue, when Zeno paused to urinate and inadvertantly contacted the third rail, according to the FDNY and NYPD.
FreeWilliamsburg is reporting the man just fell on the rail. The urination didn’t do it. http://www.freewilliamsburg.com/man-dies-from-electrocution-after-peeing-on-third-rail-of-g-train/
Either way. Not a good idea to be on the tracks or to pee on them.
But how else do I mark them as mine?
wow. was he on the tracks? standing on them?
Yep says he was walking in the tunnel.
not the sort of thing i’d want to test, but mytbusters already did
