If you’re an artist, business, or part of a community group you can be a part of Williamsburg Walks this summer! On June 10th and 11th, Bedford Avenue between Metropolitan and N 12th Street will be transformed into a really cool public art park.
They’re currently looking for these types of art participants:
-Live painting/graffiti/collage
-Interactive installations/workshops
-Sculpture/stand alone installations
-Performance artists
Or, if you are a business/community group and want to set up an activity on Bedford Ave, email [email protected]
Rules for street activities below:
– No Vending. You can’t sell or exchange any cash/credit transaction on the street
– No Electricity. Your activity can’t require any electricity
– Raw Space. You are provided with a raw space on Bedford Ave, the rest is up to you!
– Art/Community Focused. The theme of the event is art, community and interaction. While your activity doesn’t need to be specific it is good to keep this theme in mind.
Submit your proposal via this form.
Send all questions to Victoria Varney, [email protected].
Temporary wall units, interactive installations and sculptures will be staggered throughout the blocks. In addition to the installations there will be a variety of activities; in past years there were a ton of vendors selling their wares, food and a skateboarding demo. We’re already getting pumped about this year’s festivities!
