Fall has finally arrived in New York and as happy as I am to break out my own over-sized sweaters and leggings, my favorite part of this season is seeing the dogs out and about in their sweaters and winter gear.  Of course, in North Brooklyn, our dogs are extraordinarily well-adorned. The smaller dogs are premiering the first of this season’s fashion and we are very excited by what we’re seeing so far. Whether rocking vintage sweaters or layering like professionals, these pooches have it all going on.

This is Henry, a young and dashing Frenchie. At just 1 1/2 years old, we are impressed with his fashion sense and knowledge that plaid is totally in this fall.

Meet Clyde the Basset Hound (@clydethebasset)! At nine-years-old, Clyde is a distinguished gentleman who wants to fit in with the hipster crowd in Brooklyn. Clyde is looking pretty snazzy in this sweatshirt from Japan, custom-made to fit his exceptionally long body.
Lola is a four-year-old Mini Pinscher/Dachshund mix. On her stroll through McGolrick Park, she drew a lot of attention with this fabulous layered effect. We think it was pretty darn successful.
Buddy may be deaf and toothless, but this adorable pooch is still determined to look his best. Buddy is around ten-years-old and is a rescue dog living life to the fullest at the Williamsburg Farmer’s Market.
Meet Charlemagne, a six-year-old Dachshund/Beagle mix. Charlemagne was a bit embarrassed to be caught by the puparazzi today as his parents just shrank his lovely sweater in the wash. Having seen this pup on many of his walks, I can vouch for him–he is one of the most stylish doggies in town.
This is pretty little Roxy. She is a one-year-old Yorkie who was out on a shopping trip to District Dog in Greenpoint. Roxy is exuding a preppy, feminine style that we adore.
Poppy is a two-year-old Boston Terrier who is embracing a modern goth look, complete with skull and cross-bones. Although this outfit is pretty fierce, her sweet face gives her away.
Meet Pepper. She’s a two-year-old Japanese Chin mix. Her hobbies include chasing squirrels in the park and accessorizing with jewel tones to make her blue (and brown!) eyes glow. Photo: Stephanie Valente
