This weekend, Saturday June 2nd and Sunday June 3rd! Greenpoint Open Studios is returning with 400 artists who will open up their studios to showcase their work and engage directly with visitors.

This uncurated event is free, open to the public, and includes a lineup of events starting with a launch party at Java Studios on Friday, June 1st (7:30PM-11:30PM), followed by two days of open studios (Saturday June 2nd & Sunday June 3rd from 12-6pm), and ending with a wrap party on Northern Territory’s beautiful roof.

Like last year, we expect the neighborhood to thrive with art-filled activities so to help navigate the weekend, you might want to plan ahead by viewing the gallery of artists who are participating this year, checking out the online map, or picking up a printed guide booklet from any of the eight info hubs:

This year, there will also be a number of tours where local guides will walk you through South Greenpoint, Northern Greenpoint, The Leviton Building, and The Other Side of the BQE.

In addition, there will be a number of activities hosted by the community such as Kingsland Wildflowers Rooftop Drink n’ Draw, a screen printing color theory workshop, Morgan Fine Arts Studio Open House, and live music party at Pirate Studios. Go Green! Brooklyn Festival will also return with an open air art gallery in McCarren Park! Check the events page on the GOS site for a full list!

Greenpointers is a proud producer and supporter of this amazing event and we can’t wait to weave in and out of art studios and check out the variety of work – paintings, sculptures, film, photography, fashion, design, electronic arts, and so many different kinds of mediums. We have a huge range of talent here and love to immerse ourselves in the creative energy!
