The Big Brooklyn Holiday Toy Drive, a local organization that has helped distribute more than 22,000 toys to local children in need is hosting a fundraising dinner at Anella (222 Franklin St) next Wednesday evening (12/13). With two seatings at 6:30 and 8:30, the dinner will feature a seasonal 3-course prix fixe menu for $75 per person, with a carafe of wine included for each table of two. All profits from the night will go directly to the purchase of additional toys at wholesale. Tickets can be purchased here.
Let’s share the love of this holiday giving season by donating toys to children who don’t get elaborate visits from Mr. Claus on Christmas. Donate an unwrapped toy for infants to teenagers at Greenpoint Church (126 Milton St) starting on Wednesdays from 4-7pm and Thursdays from 8am-noon through 12/12.
Tonight (12/4) from 7-10pm is the Big Brooklyn Holiday Toy Drive Party at Red Star (34 Greenpoint Ave). They will be collecting toys and raising money for local kids affected by Hurricane Sandy.
Many lost almost everything they had. The toy drive will focus specifically on the children affected by the hurricane and attempt to bring them some joy through toys this holiday season.
Open bar/Raffle/50/50 Cover: $20 or a new, unwrapped toy valued at $20 or more (all proceeds to go the Big Brooklyn Holiday Toy Drive)
If you can’t make the party, you can drop off unwrapped toys on any East River Ferry vessel, from Nov. 25 until December 16th.
