Northside’s premier DOG COSTUME & TRICK CONTEST is fast approaching. Bring your pups dressed in costumes to Dog-E-Dog‘s 2nd Annual “Howl-O-Ween” tomorrow, Saturday, October 26 from 1-4pm at the McCarren Park dog run.
Last year’s inaugural Howl-O-Ween Party was a blast for dogs, dog owners and spectators alike. It was well organized and really entertaining. Check out some of the awesome and original costumes that were presented last year.
Don’t forget that there is no pre-registration, so come early! The first 50 contestants will be judged. Each contestant is assigned a # and then we proceed like the DMV or the deli: wait for your number to be called.
And bring extra dog stuff to donate to BARC shelter. Toys, food, poop bags, treats, water bowls…Your dog’s “trash” is most likely a rescue dog’s “treasure”!
Finally, don’t miss out on the raffle where you can win amazing prizes of your choosing, including but not limited to, Kate Spade leather bags, bar tabs, Gift baskets for your dog, a grooming voucher, a training session, doggy apparel and more.

t.b.d. Brooklyn is your local Greenpoint Halloween headquarters! The space has been transformed into a haunted bar, tricked out with hundreds of spooky decorations to celebrate the terrifying Halloween month.
It’s the perfect atmosphere to watch the premiere episodes of The Walking Dead Sunday, October 14th and American Horror Story Wednesday, October 17th. The Zombie Photobooth will be set up both nights to help bring the shows to life, er… death.
The 2nd annual Halloween Party on Saturday, October 27 will cap off the ghoulish season, featuring themed drinks, a costume contest with prizes & trophies, and the Zombie Photobooth.
And make sure to join the Zombie Crawl on Halloween night Wednesday, October 31. The dead start walking at Browerij Lane (8p), then on to t.b.d (9p), and end their march at the Mark Bar (10p).
