The restrictions should be commensurate with the danger. In republican states/counties up to 100k+ people have been estimated to have died since vaccines have been made available because of not getting vaccinated/loose restrictions.
On the other end, draconian measures like not allowing for legit religious exemptions (not abuse), medical exemptions, firings instead of testing, isolation or working from home is wrong on the other end.
