In a move that may concern North Brooklyn residents, Chief John Chell, a police officer who shot and killed a young Black man in 2008, was recently transferred to our neighborhood as the Commanding Officer of the Detective Bureau Brooklyn North. He previously served as deputy chief of the Detective Bureau Brooklyn South and commanding officer of the 75th Precinct in East New York. Â
