A Greenpoint pizzeria owner of more than three decades who retired in 2015 passed away last night.
Carmine Notaro owned and operated Carmine’s Original Pizza on Norman Avenue where he fed a dedicated customer base for 35 years.

I knew Carmine as long as I can remember. I worked for him a few years in the middle 90’s. He was like a father figure to me. He will be greatly missed by a lot of people. My condolences to his whole family. It’s a very sad time for all of us. He was a great person.
