  1. While 17 cyclist have died… how many of the drivers have been charged? Thus showing the true problem.. these bike riders are not following the laws of the road. I see it all the time around Greenpoint…. bikers riding the wrong way on One-Way streets, not stopping at stop signs or traffic lights, not using hand/arm signals when making turns and 75% do not wear helmets or reflective clothing.

When you don’t follow the rules, it’s easy to blame drivers, but the reality is, you brought this upon your self.

And to those cyclists who will say they are perfect angels on the road and follow every law, give us all a break… you are full of it. We all see you and cameras catch it all.

  2. While this is very sad to hear that this happened, however, who in their right mind would ride their bicycle on McGuiness Boulevard ?

  3. Hello hipsters, a tremendous increase in bikes with everything you want delivered by truck is called Murphy’s law.

I am amazed two or three people a day are not killed this way in Greenpoint.
