Following a five-alarm fire and subsequent closure, which was extended due to city regulations, Union Pool, the favored Williamsburg bar and venue, finally made its valiant return this past Friday, August 5. Revelers were welcomed back into its familiar comforts of drinks, music, and tacos.

The reopening celebration continues tonight as Reverend Vince and The Love Choir reprise their usual Monday night live performance. And the Pool — affectionately(?) dubbed the “Horny Utopia of 2000s Williamsburg” by The Cut in 2018 (ah, pre-COVID-and-monkeypox life) — continues full steam ahead with their upcoming lineup of shows from artists like The Sun Ra Arkestra, Alice Cohen, Ok Cowgirl, DJ Miss Hap Selam, and more.
