The Greenpoint Library’s (107 Norman Ave.) Community Advisory Committee will meet next week in Greenpoint for a status update on the progress of the new library and for volunteer information.
A newly formed volunteer group Friends of Greenpoint Library will host the meeting on Wednesday, October 23rd, at 6:30 pm, at Anella (223 Franklin St).
In a message posted on the group’s Facebook page, president Randy Locklair said FOGL will create an “informal executive board” and is seeking a secretary, treasurer, and at-large members.
A fall 2019 completion date was estimated for construction of the library as of this summer, but construction delays and permitting issues have since pushed back the completion to December at earliest, according to construction workers and an email update from project manager Ames O’Neil.
