Welcome to Friday, Greenpoint! Now that the sun is out, the news is full of all things Paradise.
First up, what’s better than Summer Fridays? An all-expenses paid trip to Hawaii. The Hawaii Tourism Board is now accepting applications for a week-long remote work-residency program exclusively for New Yorkers.
If you can’t make it out to Hawaii, have no fear, there’s a new piece of paradise right here in Greenpoint. On Thursday, The Springs opened at 224 Franklin Street sporting Southern California vibes!
And Speaking of Paradise (lost), there’s even more luxury real estate soon to be hitting the hood. Plans for 18 India Street, a 40 story tower 3 years in the works, are officially moving forward.
Meanwhile, the massive, block-long rental complex at 211 McGuinness Blvd gets new renderings.
But one thing Greenpoint won’t get fewer alternate-side parking days. The Department of Sanitation had planned to give Greenpointers a break on alternate-side parking days, but put the plan on hold when our street cleanliness rating dropped for 6 consecutive months.
