Epic Ride

Spring has already been in the air in Greenpoint, though planning a summertime bike ride might seem like quite a ways off. But the Brooklyn Greenway Initiative—the non-profit building the Brooklyn Waterfront Greenway, a 14-mile bike and pedestrian path from Greenpoint to Bay Ridge—is hosting their annual Epic Ride event and you can save $20 off the final ticket price by nabbing an Early Bird ticket now. Plus, the money from your ticket goes to help build the Greenway and includes FREE BEER at the after party at Riis Park Beach. Sign us up!

Via Brooklyn Greenway:

On The Epic Ride you’ll discover hidden and far flung neighborhoods, pedal through city, state and national parks and take in spectacular bridge and city views along the Brooklyn Waterfront and Jamaica Bay Greenways. Continue the fun at The Epic After Party on the Riis beach boardwalk with bands, food, complimentary beer and take a dip in the sea!

Riders will be fully supported by experienced marshals and mechanics along the route and refreshments will be offered at scenic rest stops.

And, they’ll have an easy bike rental option available if you don’t own one, or don’t have one that would survive the Epic trip. For tix and more info, check out their event page.
