As Greenpointers, it’s an essential part of the Holidays to find the perfect event space to hold our sugar plum cocktails and holly jolly guests. You’ve got ugly sweaters to wear and pink elephant gifts to give! We’ve got you covered — here’s a list of places waiting to be your event elf for the Holiday season.
1) One Bedford
A swanky space located at the intersection of Bedford & Manhattan makes this a perfect party location — especially for 50 person Holiday events. Even better, there are open bar options available (because what’s a Holiday party without the cocktails). Got an office party, gathering of friends and family, or a pop-up event you need a venue for? They got a Pre-fix menu and family style options. Steps from the Nassau Ave G train, it’ll be great for those not from here to get home safe and sound. Booking your event at One Bedford increases your party-planning creds among your invitees. Email them to get more information.
2)Â Cherry Point
Cherry Point is ready for your festive fiestas and holiday get downs. Planning to celebrate the season with a larger group or company holiday party? Book their chef’s table and/or semi-private dining space. It’s available for sit down dinners or cocktail events. They will even be serving on Christmas Eve Day, 11am to 4pm, with special, seasonal holiday additions to their everyday brunch menu. A fantastic way to kick off Christmas — with brunch! 3) Dobbin St
A Nordic-style event space based in Greenpoint’s industrial zone. Their Yves Klein blue warehouse sits adjacent to McCarren Park. Designed with the intention of creating exceptional events, this transformed factory has 22-foot vaulted ceilings; the space is minimalist and luxurious. Check out their gallery of past events.
4) Littleneck Grand
Go from Historic Greenpoint to New England in Littleneck Outpost’s private event space with full bar and kitchen. This space, located off Berry St, is all about your vision for your rockin’ holiday party. In their intimate yet spacious rooms, create your own menu, book a live band, make custom cocktails — whatever you’ve got in your head for the best party they want to make it happen. And for those of you who just want great seafood and a good time, they can simplify it all with special menus, a full bar, and help with the DJ setup. The best part of all this? Low price options. Check out their Instagram to see more of what they do.
5) Good Move
Tacos! Cocktails! Mezcal! It’s what all holiday parties need, and Good Move has got it. With the ability to seat 40 people and capacity up to 60, the newest edition to the neighborhood has got party game. Heads up vegetarians, they have a decent section of the menu for you. Open bar packages are available, and by the quality of their cocktails we suggest you take advantage. As for food? They’ve got platters and family-style options. Not sure about all you’ll need? Management is happy to help you figure it out with their all-inclusive packages. Stop by, grab a drink (or taco), and realize this bar gets you. Then email [email protected] to book your party.
6) Midnights BK
Midnights Winter Holiday Garden is a bright, super festive event space. Open for dinner, brunch, drinks and private events all winter in an heated, enclosed garden; it features handmade (by Midnights BK owner and staff) wreaths and garlands, Mexican blankets, Christmas trees and holiday tsotchkes galore. Like a blast from Christmas past, they’ve been amassing their collection from their youth and beyond. If that’s not enough for your festive side, they’ve covered the garden with lights on lights on lights. Their entire food and drink menu will be available alongside specials like Peppermint Mexican Hot Chocolate, Hot Mulled Cider, and Pistol Pete’s Boozy Cider. Prepare, Greenpointers, for New Year’s Eve, where this Garden becomes one hell of a dance space. Visit their website or email them for more information.
This is all well and good, but if you wanted to book one of these venues for an event, you probably would have had to have done that months in advance, like during the summer.
