The idea for local haircutting shave and haircut joint The Land of Barbers was born from the owner, Enrico Mariotti’s desire to return to his Italian roots. Here in the states, Enrico has made Williamsburg his second home. Graham Avenue’s quaint community vibe reminded him of his own roots in a small neighborhood in central Italy. These are the foundations of The Land of Barbers, a hand-built barbershop with international flair that has a special way of making customers feel truly at home.
It’s clear that the team takes a lot of pride in every little detail. In fact, The Land of Barbers truly cares about the customer experience from the moment someone enters the space.
“You walk in, they offer you a glass of prosecco or a cappuccino. And you get a face massage with your haircut. It’s pretty impressive,” says regular customer Justin Chen.
Considering these extras, the services are reasonably priced for the neighborhood, with a men’s haircut starting at $45 and trims at $25. They’ll cater to a range of styles—from American to International; just let them know what you’re looking for or they’ll be happy to recommend something. All of the five barbers are personally trained by the owner, and they’re happy to work with any kind of hair type—they’ve truly seen it all. The five-star-Yelp-reviewed Land of Barbers is the kind of place where you want to get a hot towel shave or get your beard trimmed. The décor is vintage throwback, but not hokey or forced. It’s not a gimmick, it’s just a good old-fashioned shave and haircut joint without the pretense.
The Land of Barbers is located at 422 Graham Avenue in Williamsburg. You can book appointments online or by calling them at (347) 384-2153. And follow them on Instagram for a peek at their on point sharp looks.
