Day to day life and love in New York as standalone themes are trite but not when they are expressed in the form of Indie Rock, down-to-earth lyrics, and versatile tempos. In Dru Cutler’s latest single “Familiar” these come together in one beautifully composed piano ballad.

Familiar” now has an accompanying music video and will be debuting this Saturday, July 25, 2015 at The Living Room (134 Metropolitan Ave, Brooklyn NY) at 11:00PM.

Dru Cutler is a Bushwick based composer and storyteller who has been playing music since the tender age of 12. He not only plays piano, guitar, and drums but is also a talented songwriter, having created numerous songs drawing inspiration from the 60’s and 70’s.

Of his music, Dru says “I’m inspired by nostalgia. I write original songs and tell half-remembered stories.” His love of life is reflected in his ballads and stories that captivate, inspire, and speak truth.

Saturday’s pre-show performances include Chanese Elifé, Klassy with a K, The Rusty Guns, and The Mild Things. Dru Cutler and his band, The Heart & Hand, will perform a full set in addition to the video showing at 11:00PM. Joining Dru are his band members, Dave Mainella on piano, Issac Jaffe on bass, Amy Marie Stewart vocals, and Jon Wert on drums.
