It’s been getting colder and darker but if you just aren’t ready to accept that winter is coming, have I got an event for you: a pig roast tiki party featuring High Waisted, Las Rosas, and The Mystery Lights at Kings County! It goes down Sunday at 2:00. Say what you will about High Waisted as a band (say they rock!), they know how to throw an ambitious event. A few months ago, it was a booze cruise. Now we have this tiki pig roast, which should absolutely enliven your Sunday afternoon. It opens at 2:00 and the music will start around 3:00. So will the first plating of food.
Let’s talk about this food. Black Tree will be providing the pig. A full suckling pig, prepared luau style. Actually maybe more than one pig. This kind will be served on sliders. Plus there will be pig stuffed with carrots, apples, and chestnuts served as porchettas. I don’t know exactly what that means, but it sounds delicious. Also, Melt Bakery will be on hand to serve artisan ice cream sandwiches. What a combination! The drink specials (all for less than $5) include totally tiki punch, the get high waisted beer/shot combo, and waikiki jello shots.
The event costs $25 in advance or $30 day of. Get them here. You get a free drink and a free raffle ticket. There will be a photo booth and a DJ too.
To get you even more in the mood for this cool event, have a listen to the bands on the bill:
