For three Saturdays in June, Bedford Avenue will be temporarily reclaimed from the usual array of buses, trucks, and careening car services for Williamsburg Walks, all-day street fairs brought to you by Neighbors Allied for Good Growth. Ambling slowly down the street today, Bedford Avenue felt relatively calm; the threat of rain, interspersed with the occasional sprinkle, may have contributed to relatively light crowds out enjoying the activities on offer. My personal favorites: street scrabble, pictured, and music by Sweet Street Symphony, a video from which appears below. My only question: is ‘jin’ really a word?
