A 20-year-old woman was wounded by a stray bullet as she fled a brawl that erupted outside a Brooklyn club early Friday, police said.

The victim had been hanging out at the “Fashion Mayhem” party thrown by a SUNY-Old Westbury student group at Club Exit in Greenpoint.

She left the club when it closed at 4 a.m. and then heard shots behind her. She was wounded in the leg as she ran along Greenpoint Ave., police said.

The woman, who was not identified, was taken to Bellevue Hospital where she was in stable condition. Cops did not say if the victim was a SUNY student, and calls to the university were not returned. No arrests were made.

In addition, if you’ve been following the (pretty active and argumentative) Brooklynian.com forum thread on this incident there is a community meeting tomorrow April 21 @ 7:30 pm on the side entrance of the old Greenpoint (now a Capital One, I think?) bank (Calyer St & Manhattan Ave).
