French Pop Duo YELLE Comes to Elsewhere Nov 8–11!

Get ready to scream, Greenpointers: French pop duo YELLE have revealed their new single “OMG!!!” here and they’ve also announced a string of North American tour dates — including three nights at Elsewhere‘s Zone One (599 Johnson Avenue) on November 8, 10, and 11 that are currently sold out, but check out the venue’s site for upcoming and potential availability.
On their new single the duo remarked, “‘OMG!!!’ is an ode to the power of the sun. This magical effect that turns everyone on. The rebirth, the renaissance! But it’s also an ode to the absurdity of this fact. Donovan the hamster got it right! You can always listen to Yelle if you need a sun!

Elsewhere’s Music & Visual Art Expands to Rooftop Venue & Bar

Elsewhere, Brooklyn’s multi-disciplinary music and art venue, is expanding and opening a new rooftop venue and bar this summer.

The Rooftop opens to the public officially (as does the summer), with Memorial Day Weekend: a full-on celebration with live music, DJs, BBQ, frozen drinks, and surprises.

Looking at the summer season, initial line-ups include Dilly Dally, Mr. Twin Sister, Zimmer, Waajeed, Nicola Cruz (DJ), Little Boots, J. Phlip, and Bonny Doon. Stalwart parties with Jonathan Toubin and the Northside Festival will expand programming to the rooftop as well.

Beyond the live and electronic music programming, Elsewhere is keeping with their multi-medium approach by offering alternative programming on the Rooftop on Tuesday nights, highlighting film, food, and open-air art installations. The Rooftop will be Elsewhere’s fifth experience space at 599 Johnson Avenue, expanding on The Hall, Zone One, The Loft, and its Skybridge Gallery.
