We are busy bees getting ready for our upcoming Spring Market onSunday, April 17th (1-7PM) and can’t wait to strip off a few layers of winter bitterness to take in the sweet nectar of Greenpoint life in this season, when cherry trees are bursting with blooms, daffodils and tulips start to pop out of sidewalk gardens, and we spend more time at the park or in backyard beer gardens.
Did you know that the Greenpoint Loft was once the home of the largest rope manufacturer in the U.S.? It has been beautifully restored to its pre-war glory and we can’t wait to see it come alive with old-timey tunes, FREE fun activities, food & refreshments, music, and epic local shopping.
Apple Cider, Crispy Chilly Night, Roaring Fire, Hot Coco….. the most wonderful time of the year is just around the corner and to help get you in the spirits, Greenpointers is hosting our annual Holiday Market at Greenpoint Loft (67 West Street) from 1pm-7pm on December 6th, 2015. RSVP here!
We are seeking all types of local vendors (food, artists, crafters, jewelers, potters, etc.) so apply here or directly in the form after the jump.
Are you a corporate level business, a distillery, or a business that is based out of the NYC area? Vendor tables are strictly reserved for local independent artisans and small businesses but you may qualify as a sponsor and can submit an application here.Continue reading →
The late great Robin Williams once said “Spring is nature’s way of saying ‘Let’s party!'” So we’re thinking this year’s brutal winter overstayed its welcome as nature’s cue for a massive celebration.
Celebrate Spring with us on Sunday, April 26th, 2015, 1-7PM at the Greenpoint Loft (67 West St, 5th Fl).
We’ll have plenty of Strawberry Gin courtesy of Brooklyn Gin and craft beer by Greenpoint Beer & Ale on the ready for toasting throughout the day. Specially brewed for this market is “Rabbit Island,” a modern New Zealand inspired pilsner with tropical fruit notes and white grape. It will be served alongside “Fisticuffs,” a malty, creamy, easy day drinking English dark mild with hints of cocoa and bread crust. Continue reading →

About 10 years ago, my mother and I made it an annual Christmas tradition to go to the Young Designers Market in Soho and buy each other earrings.
At the time, that was the only market I knew of in town. Now there is an utter explosion of Holiday Markets, many in Brooklyn, with locally handmade gifts. It goes to show how the local and sustainable movement is happening in full force, especially in our own borough.
Aside from our upcoming Greenpointers Holiday Market, there are tons of other amazing markets happening in Brooklyn in the next few weeks, which makes us very excited in our brains.
