Don’t worry, we also save room in the back for unsung heroes.
The Hold Steady have three sold-out Brooklyn Bowl shows beginning tonight. Additional tickets will be released at 6 PM each night.
Rockabilly’s Reverend Horton Heat is at Warsaw on Saturday and as usual he’s got a full coterie of highly disreputable opening acts, like Unknown Hinson and Nashville Pussy. Tickets are $22 and still available online.
If you joined the Standing Rock protest bandwagon there’s a benefit at Sunnyvale on Saturday at 8 PM and all the bands playing have suitably passive-aggressive names.

Calling the low, the weak, and the ungodly! Gather near, ye faithless, ye mentally infirm and spiritually bereft!
This is the end of days and that rumble in the distance is the wagons of The Little Top Circus & Medicine Show, rolling into town to save your sad sinner’s soul. Led by the evangelically infamous Good Reverend Doctor Professor Elucius Clay, this sideshow of cautionary tales will horrify (watch as Stitch the Geek mutilates his own flesh!), titillify (surrender to the undulant charms of the reigning Miss Coney Island, Cherry Delight, and the bosomosity of Miss Direction), and flummox (recoil at Bobby Phobia’s feats of physiology), all to the blood-stirring musicianing of Texas Red (“The Gypsy Fiddler”) and Ratty Mousebites & Miz E of The Hot Sardines.
The Little Top Circus & Medicine Show Saturday, 2/23 10pm doors Union Hall 702 Union Street @ 5th Avenue, Brooklyn (directions)
