Kasia Glinka is Polish by birth and a New Yorker at heart. She holds an MFA in Acting from The Actors Studio Drama School at Pace University in New York as well as an MA in Psychology from the University of Warsaw. Her passion for psychology and acting compelled her to work on the character April in Revolutionary Road. Some of her favorite roles include: Harper in Angels in America, Darlene in Hurlyburly, Blanche DuBois in A Streetcar Named Desire, Phaedra in Phaedra’s Love, and Yelena in Uncle Vanya.

It all started with Frida and Diego, Burton and Taylor, Lee Miller and Man Ray. Artists influence each other, destroy each other, love passionately. Out of all this, creating is born. Partners in crime. Partners in life. Dali signed his paintings with his and his beloved’s name. It is said that she saved him from his own misery, “it is mostly with your blood, Gala, that I paint my pictures.” That’s what immediately came to mind when I saw the The Front Room Gallery group show “Summer Love”—a sudden, sensual, and very intimate feeling. “What’s Up With Cops Ticketing Jaywalkers at McGuinness?”


Przejście dla pieszych na McGuinness należy do bardzo niebezpiecznych od długiego czasu. W grudniu zeszłego roku 32-letnia Nicole Detweille została śmiertelnie potrącona tam przez samochod. Od tego czasu policjanci ostrzegają przechodniów przed przechodzeniem na czerwonym świetle w tym miejscu. Konsekewncje są i będą w postaci mandatów lub upomnienia włacznie ze spisanie danych osobistych. Widocznie atwiej jest kontrolować pieszych niz szybkość jazdy kierowców…Ale jednak może warto poświęcić dodtakową minutę i poczekać na zielone światło? Dla własnego bezpieczeństwa i swiętego spokoju. Lem, Lady Gaga, Abramovic at The Wythe Hotel: Collaboration on Outer Space

Last Saturday I put on a blindfold and listened to Lady Gaga, not singing, but reading the first few pages of Stanislaw Lem’s Solaris. Typical Saturday? There were no limits for Marina Abramovic who gave instructions (via Skype) to all of us who gathered at the Wythe Hotel for a marathon reading of Solaris.

She shared the story about a shepard who closed his eyes every time she asked him a question. When she asked him why he’s doing this, he simply answered that he doesn’t need to see while talking to her. That spoke to her. Continue reading
