There’s certainly no shortage of Halloween activities in the North Brooklyn area, as our list for families and list for adults indicates. Now add a couple more to your calendar.
First up, Calyer Triangle continues to get into the holiday spirit (it played host to a similar event last October and a tree-lighting in December) with an event at 7 p.m. on October 24. The 2nd Halloween Acclimation will feature a public reading of an H.P. Lovecraft story and an acoustic performance from local band, Chest High Fires (and stay tuned for their upcoming record release party on November 7). A group of neighbors helped organize the event with the assistance of North Brooklyn Parks Alliance.

And on Saturday, the fun in the streets continues with another Berry Spooky Halloween party. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., swing by Berry and South 3rd streets for family fun, including a costume contest. The event is in partnership with the NYC Department of Transportation, as part of its “Trick or Streets” initiative. The event promises games such as cornhole, a “Scaraoke” tent in which to sing Halloween classics, art activities, and CANDY!
