The Park Church Co-Op (129 Russell Street) has been hosting weekday happy hours at local bars for neighbors to gather, get to know each other and chat about whatever is on their minds. The church will even buy your first drink (!), so this seems like a pretty low-stakes way to get involved in your local house of worship/performance space/community center. The next one is happening tomorrow night (8/1) at Goldie’s (195 Nassau Ave) at 6:30pm.
