More info

If you were here when Hurricane Sandy hit in 2012, you are probably wondering what will happen when Sandy 2 strikes NYC. Will the city infrastructure and buildings be more prepared? As a number of Greenpoint buildings are on the water, you may want help understanding what mitigations are now code or under consideration, and also to find out what City and State agencies are doing to prevent flooding when the next major storm rolls through. You’ll hear from the NYC Department of City Planning, Parks & Recreation, Mayor’s Office of Sustainability, and the NYC Department of Environmental Conservation. The event is hosted by Assemblymember Joe Lentol and City Council Member Stephen Levin.
