These then/now photos of Williamsburg are neat.

The killer of Menachem Stark, the man who went missing in South Williamsburg and whose body was later found in a dumpster on Long Island, was finally identified and is being held without bail on murder charges. Apparently he unexpectedly died during a struggle in the backseat of the getaway car, post-kidnapping.

In lighter news, Greenpoint got some love on the NY Times interactive coffee map, although they forgot a few favorite spots, ignored the Bronx completely, and didn’t feel like  going any deeper into Brooklyn.

Pitchfork announced it’s 2 Northside showcase lineups, which will take place at St Vitus and feature Frankie Cosmos, Perfect Pussy, and our new favorite band (for the name), Couch Slut.

Cancel all your summer plans because Fort Tilden is open and debris-free.  ALSO the movie schedule for Brooklyn Bridge Park has been announced and Sharknado is on the list.
