Matt LaBarbiera aka the Johnny Appleseed of Greenpoint will be at McCarren Park tomorrow at 1pm giving away his free sunflowers.

I’ve been living in Greenpoint for the past 6 years now and follow your blog regularly. For the past 4 years I’ve been giving away free sunflowers all over Greenpoint, to young and old, Greenpointer and New Yorkers. I feel that Greenpoint (especially) needs color and the perfect way to accomplish this is through sunflowers. I raise baby sunflowers from seeds and then give them away, in turn spreading the wealth of color. It’s time to go to the next level though.
I’m going to be at the Bedford and N12th McCarren Park entrance tomorrow at 1pm, if you could post this info on your site, that would greatly be appreciated.
