In case you haven’t noticed, the Holiday Lights are back! I posted a quick photo the other night when I first saw them and I’d like to give a shout out to the GBA and the businesses who contributed so that we could have a festive neighborhood for the holidays. You can thank them too by shopping at the businesses who stepped up. Check out their nifty little logo that will be displayed prominently in the shops that contributed.
After a year’s absence, the Greenpoint Business Alliance has bought back the Holiday Lights to Greenpoint. Thirteen snowflakes were specially designed for the GBA and placed throughout the neighborhood. The total cost for these snowflakes was $17,000 with each snowflake costing $1,300.
Our members and sponsors made this happen and we encourage you to support them as they support their community. Look for the Holiday Lights Sponsor sign in the 85 businesses that contributed to the lights and let them know you appreciate their support. In addition to these 85 businesses, the following Sponsors contributed because Greenpoint matters to them.
Broadway Stages
Lexington Council of the Knights of Columbus
St. Stanislaus Memorial Post 1771
Greenpoint Memorial Day Parade
All generously contributed, helping to bring the holiday spirit into the neighborhood. The Steering Committee of the GBA would like to thank all the businesses and sponsors for working with us to bring the Holiday Lights back to Greenpoint!!
