Tonight the Deskset, a group of renegade librarians and book-junkies, is throwing a dance party at Enid’s to benefit Books Through Bars.
Shots of librarian fire water will be served:
• NYPL: Champagne, Grenadine, Whiskey
• BPL: Vodka with a dash of Lemonade
• Queens Library: Lime Juice, Tequila, Triple Sec
And from 10:30 til Midnight, $1 from every shot will be donated to the New York City Public Libraries!
Also, if you bring a new or “gently used” paperback dictionary you’ll get a drink on the house – this also goes for a complete book of postal stamps.
But the best part of the evening will be the Fancy Pants Raffle. Straight from the website:
