Some more news on this weekends McCarren Park Go Green! Greenpoint! event. They’re having an entire free recycling program for just about anything you can think of. Paper, electronics, books and clothing. Just in time for Spring Cleaning you can get that shit out of your house and actually feel good about it not just going into the garbage. Maybe someone else will be able to use it or at least it won’t find it’s way into the landfills.

CLOTHING, BEDDING, BOOKS & TOYS

One man’s castoff is another man’s treasure! Drop off your cleaned gently-used clothes, bedding, books and toys – and for a $5 donation, browse the selection and take away as many “riches” as you can carry. Don’t forget to bring a bag (or a cart) to tote them all!

PAPER

Professional shredding and disposal of highly sensitive paper documents by CitiStorage, a generous corporate neighbor.

ELECTRONICS

Bring toner cartridges, computers, laptops, monitors, digital cameras & camcorders, cell phones and PDAs (in working order or not).

We’ll get them recycled!

And you’d like to lend a helping hand? Please contact Town Square at 718.609.1090 or [email protected].

It’ll be an awesome day in McCarren Park.
