Hey babes, there’s a killer sale tomorrow at Mind/Matter this Saturday. Stick to your holiday budget this year with some lovely wares for your nearest & dearest and pick up a little vintage somethin’ for your fine self.
This amazing tarot class is back! If you’re wondering about the esoteric arts, now is the time to learn. At tonight’s class, Lindsay Mack will teach you about the insightful tarot readings, it’s mystic and compass qualities, and more mystic qualities. Be the tarot queen you’re mean to be.
Tickets are $45 and include some adult beverages. I’d love to know what the cards have in store for you.
Many “charity”” boxes are a sham. Your closet is overflowing. Perhaps crochet crop tops and your old high school gym tees aren’t part of your wardrobe repertoire any longer. Here’s some places and bins to unload it all.
Darlings, there’s a new thrift store in town and it’s totally glorious. People of 2morrow (65 Franklin St) is a perfect blend of whimsical vintage and mindfully curated products. Walking through the bright, open and airy space, you’ll find womens and mens wear, jewelry fit for minimalist lovers and wood nymphs, sweet home goods, and twee gifts for tots.
I spied a creamy white Escada sweater for under forty bucks and an adorable vintage kids jumper from the 1940s. The store also sports a weekly pop-up shop to feature local designers, keep an eye out for intricate jewelry, candles and apothecary, and housewares.
This Saturday (11/2) will mark the 4th year that the Vintage Crawl has blessed us with a mapped route of shopping bliss, complete with sweets deals, cocktails, and seasonal sweaters galore. And this year, it’s expanded to the uncharted land of Bushwick.
Shoppers can navigate with a self-led interactive map on their smart phones (flip phone Philistines can rely on an old-timey paper map). The crawl encompasses over 25 vintage stores and 10 bars across North Brooklyn, culminating in an after-party at Brooklyn Bowl, featuring Brooklyn-via-Detroit songstress, Alex Winston, synth pop greats, Joywave, and local fav, Deidre & The Dark.
After-party tickets are available here. Bring them to the crawl for even more discounts that will make your bargain-hunting thrift queen give your inner cheap-o a hearty pat on the back.

Look for us there. We’ll be the ones buying way too many Fall boots (while delicately sipping mimosas).
Looking for bargains? Of course of you are. Then check out the recently opened, and appropriately named, Greenpoint Bargains.
The store stocks well-priced furniture, clothing, books, records and all sorts of other curious oddities. I picked up this dreamscape of Impressionist Paris for a $100.00.
They offer free local delivery for purchases over $150.00 plus set rentals.
