Welcome and you HAVE to go to Krowlewskie Jadlo! Come on, even just for the suits of armor out front. Polish food does rock though, I recommend pierogies.
I recommend Lomzynianka – I am convinced their prices haven’t changed since the 80s/90s! The sampler is perfect and will feed you for 2 meals. PS welcome 🙂
I second Lomzynianka and the only Polish food I really even eat is perogis and kielbasa. But they’re both sooooo good.
The chicken-cutlet platter from Old Poland Bakery (Nassau and Humboldt) is large enough to feed a family, and I doubt it’s more than $5.
Kasia’s Restaurant on Bedford — you pass it en route to the L — serves the yummy standbys of kielbasa and pierogis.
Does it count that I have eaten a few dozen boxes of Mrs T’s pierogies in my day?
