Hiya!! My name is Krista. I’m new here. I love a list.

  1. I have lived in NYC for 10 years and Greenpoint for five. Shamefully, I have yet to eat in a Polish restaurant.
  2. I am 28 and work a 9-5 job. Sometimes I like to pretend I am a middle aged woman.
  3. I was a ‘rexi for about four years. I will occasionally joke about previously being 79 pounds. Just go with it.
  4. I get lost a lot and break cameras often.
  5. I live for tv and take-out. I have an ultimate goal of achieving housebound status.
  6. Until that happens, I do like a good bar.

I am excited about our burgeoning blog relationship.

  1. Welcome and you HAVE to go to Krowlewskie Jadlo! Come on, even just for the suits of armor out front. Polish food does rock though, I recommend pierogies.

  2. I recommend Lomzynianka – I am convinced their prices haven’t changed since the 80s/90s! The sampler is perfect and will feed you for 2 meals. PS welcome 🙂

  3. I second Lomzynianka and the only Polish food I really even eat is perogis and kielbasa. But they’re both sooooo good.

  4. The chicken-cutlet platter from Old Poland Bakery (Nassau and Humboldt) is large enough to feed a family, and I doubt it’s more than $5.

Kasia’s Restaurant on Bedford — you pass it en route to the L — serves the yummy standbys of kielbasa and pierogis.
