Why your support matters
I was born and raised in greenpoint, had to move out after 49 years for one simple reason rent rates. Same goes for the stores on Manhattan Ave. I know many of the store owners and there rents are astronomical. Never will keep a variety of stores around long enough for people to come to your area to shop with mega high tents
I was shocked to see Mr Berry closed on Tues when I stopped by to pick up some veggies! I live in Manhattan but love the shops in Greenpoint so come often and Berry’s was usually last stop before going home. (G to the E train) Such a shame to lose them! As a woman said as she discovered it closed while I was standing there “Probably another pot shop?” And I had to agree! They’re the only ones that can afford ridiculous rents!
