It’s hard to believe it was only this Sunday we were toasty warm, sipping hot buttered rum (which some of you compared to Harry Potter’s Butterbeer it was so good) in the Grenpoint Loft. Now it’s freezing – guess winter was waiting for our Candyland creation to pass!
Let’s take a moment to relive the sugary sweet fun though, shall we? This year’s Greenpointers Holiday Market was a candy covered hit, many of our more than 60 vendors reporting it to be their busiest year yet, with 4,000+ visitors in all. This author gave over 100 tarot readings, Miss V. adorned tens of hands with stunning henna tattoos, Capture Me in 3D created many a digital avatar, Human@ease gave tons of massages, all for free, and that’s just what happened in the balcony!
Meanwhile, downstairs, the Big Cat Menagerie played old-timey tunes, Champion Coffee made sure everyone was properly caffeinated handing out their roast, Local gave out brie samples with their jams and jellies, and Morphologically kept the vibes right burning palo Santo sticks. The whole space was filled with local vendors selling everything from custom illustrations, knitwear, jewelry, handmade skincare, culinary and home gifts to clothing and beyond. Many vendors totally sold out of their wares, but don’t worry if you got to their tables too late – plenty of them have brick & mortar shops or online stores that are still stocked.
