River Styx Is Closing Sunday – Come Bid Farewell This Weekend!

Dearest friends, loyal customers, and all instagramers after 3 1/2 years of service we’ve decided to close the doors at River Styx and take the restaurant on a new venture! This will be our last week of service before the big changes start, so if you still love us and still love nachos swing by and spend some time with us! Also, Sunday evening the 14th will be our final service so something tells me we’ll be doing something fun Thank you all so much and we look forward to sharing what’s over the horizon with you soon!

We’ve confirmed in person and read via their site and Instagram, that beloved Greenpoint spot River Styx (21 Greenpoint Avenue) will be shuttering with its final service on Sunday evening. From their site:

“We regret to inform our beloved guests that after 3 years River Styx will be closing its doors.

Fear not!!! The owners and staff aren’t going anywhere, we will reopen bigger and better as we shift our gears and follow our passions into a new and exciting venture that we know you will love.

Everyone is very excited for this new chapter to begin, and see you guys back and happy as ever. Our final service will be August 14th so please come and join us to send the place off in style.

They’ll be shuttering for about three weeks to do some renovations to the bar area, kitchen and other tweaks throughout. Then, a relaunch with a brand new name, refreshed menu and bar concept. Looking forward to what’s next! But in the meantime, we hear Sunday night’s closing party should be pretty bangin’.
