Designer Bevon St. Louis-Brewster is a master of graphic storytelling that’s striking to the eyes. Oftentimes, his preferred medium of choice is the clothing we wear. “What better way to convey a message than by wearing it?” As he puts it. Between working on production for major events, from Art Basel to the Fabric and Textile Festival, Bevon collaborates with other Brooklyn artists and designers for his clothing line labeled Triste.
The style of his garments sport influences collected from 80’s comics and anime, which is also translated in a mural he painted at the East Brookyln Community High School in response to the Black Lives Matter movement. Visual art for this man doesn’t just end on the internet. Deeply engaged within the community scene, Bevon is also currently working on landscaping projects for community gardens around different neighborhoods in preparation of Spring 2016.
