Everyone knows about the unrivaled people-watching potential of McCarren Park, but not everyone lives to see a standoff between a kickball bro and an indignant nap queen. Is she “the most selfish person in the world?” Or does he “think he fucking owns the park?” You decide.

According to Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt’s Ellie Kemper, no one can tell the difference between a Greenpoint hipster and a person who recently emerged from under a rock.

There’s a history behind TASTE Williamsburg Greenpoint, and it has a lot to do with any strong community vibes you still catch around these parts. In 1975, more than 200 residents participated in a 16-month sit-in to preserve funding for city services, and last month, they honored them in the most Brooklyn way possible.

A famous lamb of Greenpoint fame has famed its way upstate. After being spotted dining at Five Leaves this spring, Smokey the lamb is now back at Violet Hill Farm in West Winfield, N.Y., but it appears his time in the city has instilled him with a troublemaking streak. “He had a ram buddy that he was hanging out with hardcore,” said his owner.
