Featured vendor at our Holiday Market, Sarah (pronounced SAH-RAH) Goldschadt a graphic designer + crafter has published two books: Craft-a-Day and Pom-Poms! (Quirk Books). She was a proud Girl Scout growing up (earning the Gold Award with her sister) and always enjoyed making things. She loves to knit, sew, crochet, and make simple paper projects and blogs about it at sah-rah.com.
At the market she will be selling her books, knit + crochet cacti, pom-poms, and felt owl ornaments. Her boyfriend, Ben, of designedinbkny.com will also be selling pillowcases and prints. It’s their first time selling at a market and they are excited to participate.
Sarah has worked in magazine publishing for over 10 years as a graphic designer and currently freelances and works on various digital editions for the iPad.
She is inspired by her Danish roots: “I was born and spent all my childhood summers in Copenhagen,” she told us, “and really like the simple, minimal approach to design. I enjoy translating that into my crafts.”
She raved about Greenpoint, too. “I can’t get enough of the treats at Ovenly and enjoying the view at Transmitter Park.”
